Ritz Crackers Recalled Because of Salmonella Risk

Ritz Crackers are being voluntarily recalled, as the brand's maker believes there's a potential salmonella risk.

USA TODAY reports manufacturer Mondelez Global says the products contain a powder believed to be threatened by salmonella.

The recall affects the following Ritz brand products: Ritz Bits Cheese, Ritz Cheese Cracker Sandwiches, and Mixed Cookie variety, among others. A list of all affected products can be found here

Salmonella can cause fatal infections in young children and elderly people.
