AUDIO: Southwest Pilot Coolly Plans One-Engine, Emergency Landing

posted by Paul Fletcher -

Full audio of Tammie Jo Shults unbelievably calm communication during emergency landing is directly below. If not for her demeanor, this could've been so much worse. Certainly important to stop and think about the poor soul that was lost on this flight.

I don't want to turn this into a social political issue, BUT.....it deserves attention that a woman landed this plane......that a woman is the hero here.....that a woman was as calm and collected as any man could be. Perhaps this amazing story will further cement in our conscience that women can do what men do. They not only deserve to be recognized for it, but also paid for it.....properly.

Our engine that blew out at 38000 ft. A window blew out, a man saved us all as he jumped to cover the window. Unfortunately we lost a passenger to a heart attack. The pilot, Tammy Jo was so amazing! She landed us safely in Philly. God sent his angels to watch over us. I actually heard someone say, there is a God!! #southwest #flight1380 #godsenthisangels #anotherdayofgrace
