Dozens of Chihuahuas Rescued From Minnesota Home

Dozens of chihuahuas were rescued from a single-family home in Northern Minnesota last week.

WCCO CBS Minnesota reports 41 chihuahua mixes were rescued from the home in Silver Township in Carlton County on Wednesday. The Animal Humane Society says unweaned puppies and pregnant dogs were among those rescued.

The dogs will be up for adoption once they've received full medical care and treatment from the humane society. If you'd like to help fund their care, go here

Chihuahuas are among the top ten dog breeds to be found in animal shelters, says Bark Post, who notes their popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s in movies such as Legally Blond
