JILLIAN RAE

Jillian Rae opened up night two at the Vita.MN Stage. She’s Minneapolis based and hugely talented! A little rain certainly didn’t stop her or her band members from rocking out and Jillian is a crazy talented violinist!

ALPHA REV

The clouds cleared just in time for Alpha Rev to kick off events at the Sun Country Airlines Stage. Along with some sun they brought some awesome music including “Lonely Man”, “New Morning” and “Drift”. There was so much talent on stage and the crowd was loving listening to them. Everyone sang along to their hit “Sing Loud” and their finale performance of “Lexington” got huge cheers too!

THE WILD FEATHERS

The Wild Feathers brought the rock & roll to the Preferred One Stage. They may have been one of the first performances of the night, but these guys absolutely tore up the stage, getting the whole crowd revved up! By the time they finished up with “The Ceiling”, fans were clapping, singing and dancing along with these southern locals.

CAROLINE SMITH

Caroline Smith admitted to eating a couple of cheese curds before starting her set on the Sun Country Airlines Stage! She played a ton of great music, new and old. She played “Child Of Moving On”, “Half About Being A Woman” and she got a ton of applause for her song about celebrating bodies of all sizes “Magazine”. Her whole band looked like they were having a blast on stage and her back-up singers were awesome!

SERENA RYDER

A big crowd came out to watch Serena Ryder nail her set at the Preferred One Stage. She had everyone on their feet with songs like “Heavy Love” and “Fall”. Her performance of “Stompa” was incredible and it had the whole crowd dancing and singing along! She also got a huge reaction to her cover of Alex Clare’s “Too Close”. Ryder played guitar, drums and absolutely rocked out, she was so good!

INGRID MICHAELSON

This was Ingrid Michaelson’s second time at Basilica and she put the entire gigantic crowd in a good mood! She had the audience involved all night long with songs like “You And I”, “Be OK” and “The Way I Am”. She had everyone laughing with her Mexican food version of “Maybe” and the whole crowd sang along to her cover of Magic’s strangely catchy tune “Rude”. She finished out the night with her newest hit “Girls Chase Boys”, but not before thanking Minneapolis for being the #1 city playing it right now!

TRAIN

Train had a selfie-filled evening! Lead singer Pat Monahan started out “If It’s Love” by getting down with the crowd and taking pictures and then when he invited a bunch of girls on stage for “Mermaid” they all tried to get a selfie with him. Train did an incredible cover of Led Zeppelin’s “What Is And What Should Never Be” that got huge cheers and a cool cover of Macklemore’s “Can’t Hold Us”. They debuted some new music from their upcoming album, but mostly the night was filled with hit after hit. The crowd was crazy loud singing along to hits like “50 Ways to Say Goodbye”, “Meet Virginia”, “Save Me San Francisco”, Hey, Soul Sister” and many more! They finished the night out with their classic “Drops of Jupiter”. Stellar way to end the 20th anniversary of the Basilica Block Party!
