Believe it or not, Bruno Mars and the Chili Peppers didn't get paid a dime for their insanely great Super Bowl halftime performance this past Sunday!
According to Wikipedia: "The NFL does not pay the halftime show performers an appearance fee, though it covers all expenses for the performers and their entourage of stagehands, family, and friends."
WHAT? According to NFL Director of Programming Lawrence Randall, comments to Time: "We’re putting someone up there for 12 and a half minutes in front of the largest audience that any television program garners in the United States. It’s a pretty good deal. It’s the famous win-win for both parties.”
