University In Minnesota Cuts Football Team By Court Order

St. Cloud State University is ending its football and golf programs in 2020 to help manage the school's finances.

According to the St. Cloud Times, the school is complying with a Title IX court order and managing its budget shortages by eliminating the programs. The cuts affect about 115 student athletes, seven coaches, and two graduate assistant coaches.

In order to keep the school's athletic program in compliance with National Collegiate Athletic Association rules, men's soccer will be added.
