Giant Squid Captured On Camera For The First Time In The U.S.

I think it's safe to say that the ocean is filled with tons of crazy creatures. Some, we probably have never seen before. This one specifically is what comes when thinking of those creatures from below. A group of scientists recently went on a exploration of our ocean. According to CNN, "The two-week mission was funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Office of Ocean Exploration and Research. Scientists Dr. Edie Widder, Dr. Sönke Johnsen, and Dr. Nathan Robinson, along with their crew, dove their cameras into the depths of the ocean to capture any life beyond the human eye. At just over 100 miles from Louisiana and Alabama, they made a historic discovery: a giant squid in US waters."

Crazy to think that such an animal can exist but it's cool regardless...but maybe I'll skip swimming in the ocean for a little while.
