Pregnant Woman Publicly SHAMED By Male Barista For Ordering A Drink

A pregnant woman was reportedly shamed by a Starbucks barista for trying to order a caffeinated beverage.

According to the Daily Mail, comedian Tiffany Stevenson witnessed the barista incident and tweeted about it, causing an uproar on Twitter. She said the male barista "corrected" the mom-to-be's drink order - a Caramel Macchiato - and told her she should not consume caffeine while pregnant because it's "bad for the baby."

The recommended amount of caffeine for expectant mothers is no more than 200mg, according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. A tall Starbucks Caramel Macchiato contains 75mg of caffeine.
