The Average U.S. Price Of Gas Rises to 5 Cents Per Gallon To $2.97

Time to evaluate how much money you spend on gas each week. The average gas prices in the United States are once again rising. In the past two weeks alone, gas prices have jumped to 5 cents a gallon (3.8 liters) over the past two weeks, to $2.97. As of right now, Minnesota is actually on the lower end when it comes to gas prices but could be better. Check out some of the averages below.

  • The highest average price in the nation is $4.14 a gallon in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • The lowest average is $2.45 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
  • The average price of diesel rose 3 cents over the past two weeks, to $3.17
