TV's longest-running sitcom and animated show pretty much visualized Lady Gaga's Super Bowl 51 performance, or at least something very similar, five years ago.
Lisa Goes Gaga was the final episode of the show's 23rd season, airing on May 20th, 2012, and darned if Gaga herself wasn't flying around a stadium, held by a wire and dressed in a spacey outfit.
Although it didn't happen at the Super Bowl, Billboard points out that in another scene a football stadium is lit by lights eerily similar to the drones that ended up forming a tri-color American flag in the air while Gaga sang on the NRG Stadium roof.
On Monday afternoon The Simpsons tweeted: "We're all about elevated performances," along with a clip of the original episode.
