Diaper Need Awareness Week is a national initiative created to make a difference for low-income families. The Diaper Bank of Minnesota is hosting diaper drives across the seven county metro area. Parents with limited incomes often struggle to choose between providing clean diapers for their youngest children or providing food for the family. Low-income parents cannot use SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) funds or food stamps to purchase diapers. Our goal this year is to secure 50,000 diaper donations! But we can't do that without community support and awareness. We are looking for volunteers to sort and count diapers, as well as organizations who are interested in holding diaper drives.
