Listen to Grouplove on iHeartRadio

Grouplove will be traveling down an unbeaten path when they hit the road this fall.  The indie rockers have announced plans for their so-called "Seesaw Tour" to celebrate their upcoming sophomore album, Spreading Rumors.

Frontman Christian Zucconi tells Rolling Stone they'll spend two nights in each city on the "weird kind of" outing.  On one night they'll play a heavy, "rock-out" show, and on the other, they'll put on an acoustic performance at a "non-traditional" venue.  So in addition to playing clubs like the Troubadour in Los Angeles or the Bowery Ballroom in New York, the band will also take the stage in churches, schools, and hotels around the country.

Zucconi says they wanted to go places touring bands don't usually go, but the tour will require a few adjustments.  He says they'll have to work on cutting down the "thrashing around" they're known for and "restrain" themselves a bit in the smaller venues.

Grouplove's "Seesaw Tour" starts September 9th in Seattle, while Spreading Rumors is due out September 17th.
