The same band that orchestrated the catchy whistling tune 'Pumped Up Kicks' recently released a short clip of a song off their new record, which is due to be released early in 2014.

The 45 second and mostly instrumental snippet is a follow-up to Foster The People’s highly successful album debut of Torches in 2011.

In an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this year, frontman Mark Foster said he wanted this new album to be less "electronic and synthetic." Foster said he was inspired by his travels to the Middle East and Africa and integrated those experiences onto the record. "It’s got an interesting mix of things," Foster said. "I'm excited to play it live. It's a record that’s going to come to life more onstage."

He also described the album as “guitar-driven,” “polarizing,” and “not the record that people are gonna expect us to release second.”

Foster mentioned a single will be released to radio in January and the band expects to tour after the full album debut.
