Matt tells the USA Today that the song's inspiration stemmed from the idea that "when we're full of dread and the world is heavy and too much, you put your headphones on and music saves your life." Like us, you're probably wondering if this new track signals the release of a new Nathanson record, and the answer is yes! Matt expects to have his 9th studio album wrapped up for a fall release, but he has some work to do first...He's still working through song ideas and plans on taking the studio on the road with him this summer while on tour with Gavin DeGraw. Will Matt's summer setlists be overflowing with new songs? He wrapped up his USA Today interview by hinting at that saying, "It'd be rad if some of the new stuff, as it got finished, got to get played that night. That feels ambitious, but the idea is totally open."
Shockingly, tickets are still available for Matt + Gavin DeGraw's July 6th show at Myth in Maplewood. You can nab up tickets to the show via AXS.com, the Myth box office, the Mill City Nights box office or by calling 1-888-9-AXS.
