An Avicii concert got out of hand on Wednesday when dozens of fans had to be taken from the TD Garden in Boston to a hospital. Over 50 people were treated at the scene, while another 36 were transported to hospitals. Authorities said that most were suffering from dehydration, drugs and/or alcohol problems.
By 11 p.m. medics had begun loading patients into ambulances while the concert continued inside. Most of the concertgoers ranged in age from 16 to 25. Mike Santostefano, who was at the concert, said, “You couldn’t breathe if you were on the floor. It was the best and worst time ever.”

Another concertgoer, Roisin Saratonion, said, “It was just too crazy in there. You get really hot in there and you just pass out. You couldn’t breathe. It was claustrophobic.”

Avicii, whose real name is Tim Bergling, tweeted following the concert:

According to Mike Bosse, Boston EMC deputy superintendent, none of the patients had any life-threatening symptoms and injuries were minor.
