This week Coldplay releases their sixth album, Ghost Stories. On Thursday the band was able to celebrate the release with their very own primetime special on NBC.

The hour-long event entitled 'Coldplay: Ghost Stories' was filmed two months ago in front of an 800 person audience in LA. Directed by Paul Dugdale, the event featured a blend of live performance, story-telling film and dramatic sets and lighting.

Tracks from the new album including "Oceans", "A Sky Full of Stars", "Magic" and "Always in My Head" were performed. However, the band took the time to play some old favorites such as "Viva La Vida", "Clocks" and "Paradise".
