We promise Mumford and Sons are not breaking up, not yet at least, despite what they may tell you.

"I Wish I had something to say about Mumford & Sons. It was a good time…It's over." Said bandmate Winston Marshall on Wednesday to Vulture.com.

Understandably, the comment created quite a stir in the banjo strumming, cello plucking (and general music loving) community. However the band's publicist assured Consequence of Sound that Marshall's remarks were pure mischief. The band is on scheduled hiatus and is as in sync as ever--especially when it comes to their misleading humor.

Marcus Mumford explained to NME, "Everyone keeps asking if we’ve broken up as a band, which I love…so I keep saying ‘yes’, and then we can have a big comeback tour next year.”
